1) Meet with Your Agent:
The first meeting is an important one! My job, as your agent, is to listen to you, gain insights into your hopes and future plans regarding your home, and discern how I can best serve you. In addition, you learn about who I am, the company I represent, and how we will work together to meet your needs.
2) Pre-Qualify to Buy:
Get pre-qualified to buy your home before putting your current one on the market. Working with a reputable mortgage professional will help you understand what you need to net from your current home to achieve your goals for the next one. I have a few that I would be happy to recommend.
3) Price Correctly:
Landing at the right price can be tricky. That’s why I provide a comparative market analysis in the current market for us to discuss together and make an informed decision. We don’t want to overprice, delaying the sale. Nor do we want to underprice. The goal is to find the “sweet spot!”
4) Pre-Inspect:
Home Inspections are often where a home sale can go wrong. Material defects may need to be repaired prior to a buyer purchasing a home. Determine these potential fixes before you list, instead of during the negotiation process.
5) Declutter:
I’m sure you’ve heard this before. If your house is cluttered or filled with personal mementos, it’s more difficult for a buyer to picture themselves living there. Placing large pieces of furniture or family photos in storage is worth the effort to help your home sell quicker.
6) Professional Photography:
In today’s world, the search for a new home usually begins online. The first impressions of the photos are important! My photographer does a great job of capturing each listing in the best light, helping your home to shine!
